Incarnation or Procreation: Which?
by Robert Schmid, March 2004

Even though Jesus Christ defeated Satan when He withstood his temptation in the wilderness, and bruised Satan’s head by His death and resurrection, Satan continues to do battle against God and mankind. No sooner did God the Father and Jesus Christ raise up the Church of God on the Day of Pentecost, Satan laid the ground work for a counterfeit, false church that would eventually engulf the whole world. In contrast, the true Church of God, after an initial growth period, became the persecuted “little flock”, mostly lost in recorded history. Nevertheless, the words of Jesus Christ will prevail when He said: “I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

What are some of the major identifying marks of the false church Satan raised up?

First of all Satan named his church “Catholic Church” (catholic meaning universal) and since he employed the Roman government to raise up his church, his church would eventually be known as the “Roman Catholic Church”.

Next came Satan’s master stroke when, through his church, he re-defined God as a trinity, Father, Son and Holy Ghost, one God in three persons which his church made a mandatory belief, or be anathema.

Next, Satan introduced into his church a change in the law of God from Sabbath the seventh day to Sunday the first day.

Next he changed and eliminated the feast days of God that define the complete plan of salvation (God's Plan of Redemption) and introduced into his church the holidays of this world (Christmas, Easter, Halloween, etc.) that are not commanded assemblies.

There are many more changes Satan introduced into his church, clearly differentiating the false “Catholic Church” from the true “Church of God”.

What is the significance of the trinity doctrine that makes it the master stroke of Satan’s deception? Simply put, the trinity doctrine makes it impossible for God to be, or ever become a true family. The trinity is inherently limited to THREE persons, i.e., to ONE Son. That’s why Catholic theology, although speaking of children of God, always speaks of them as adopted children, never as children born of God, never as becoming ONE with God as Jesus is ONE with His Father.

According to Catholic theology, “God the Word was twice begotten, the first before all time from the Father, non-temporal and bodiless, the other in the last days when he came down from the heavens and was incarnate by the holy, glorious, God bearer, ever virgin Mary and born of her”.

In other words, according to catholic theology, Jesus always existed as the Son of God and came to earth via an incarnation as a human being by being born of Mary 2000 years ago.

Here we can see how the trinity doctrine works hand in hand with the incarnation doctrine. An existing divine being, Jesus the Son of God, the second person of the trinity, assuming human form by being born of Mary. God, becoming man via an incarnation.

But is that what the Bible teaches? Not at all. “Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit.” Mary was impregnated by God and she bore a son who was named Jesus by His Father God. That (not Genesis) is the beginning of the Family of God.
Here we can see how the family doctrine works hand in hand with the procreation doctrine. An existing divine being, God, reproducing Himself through His Word. God, having a Son via procreation.

What is the difference between “incarnation” and “procreation”?

  1. Incarnation begins with a spirit being that becomes a physical being.
Procreation begins with a physical being that becomes a spirit being.
The Bible says: “First is the physical and then the spiritual”, clearly establishing incarnation as a false, non-biblical concept.
  2. Incarnation begins with three (Father, Son and Holy Ghost) and ends with three - the Trinity of Satan.
Procreation begins with one (God) and becomes two (Father and Son) and then becomes many - the Family of God.
  3. The trinity is the opposite of the family, just as incarnation is the opposite of procreation.
  4. Just as the trinity demands an incarnation, so the family demands procreation.
  5. The incarnation denies that the Word of God became the Son of God 2000 years ago.
Procreation affirms that the Word of God became the Son of God 2000 years ago.

Herbert W. Armstrong, in Mystery of the Ages wrote: “In man, God is reproducing himself”. That is a true statement. However, God first of all reproduced Himself through His Word that BECAME His first born Son, Jesus the Christ. Jesus is truly our example and forerunner in ALL things, and His most important example was to show that procreation (not incarnation) is the way to become a true Son of God. Procreation (not incarnation) is the ONLY way to become a true brother of Jesus in the Family (not trinity) of God Almighty.

God DID NOT become man!
God HAD A SON who was born as a man!

Thank you Jesus for being the Way the Truth and the Life.
