Dr. Walter Martin, the BIBLE ANSWER MAN and self appointed cult fighter, wrote the following in a booklet on Herbert W Armstrong; quote:

"It should not be forgotten that every major non-Christian cult system either prevents subtly, or denies outright, the Christian doctrine of the Trinity, and Mr. Armstrong's cult is no exception."
He wrote: "By denying the personality of the Spirit, i.e. that the Spirit is a personal ego and one of the persons of the Holy Trinity, Armstrong - that is the Worldwide Church of God - invalidates the only means whereby a man can be saved."

Did you get that!
In other words, according to Dr. Martin you and I, and every member of the Worldwide Church of God, or anybody that does not accept the trinity, is not, and can not be saved, because we do not believe in the doctrine of the trinity, because we do not believe in the separate personality of the Holy Spirit!

Now, chances are that nobody has ever confronted you, or challenged you personally about this issue of the trinity, but, I believe, in fact, I am convinced, that before this age will come to an end, probably in your lifetime, your unbelief, your rejection of the trinity, will become a cause of persecution, setting you apart from this worlds religions, and from this world as a whole as far as the east is from the west.

The question: Who and what is God? is after all, undoubtedly, the most important question man is able to ask himself.

Is God a Trinity? or, as I believe the Word of God teaches us; Is God a Family?"

This world's so called Christian religions say God is a trinity and if you don't belief it, you will die in your sins and burn forever in hell fire.

In contrast, Jesus Christ through His Church, and the Word of God, has taught us that God is not a trinity, but a family.

My intent is to show that if God would be a trinity he could not be a family and if He is a family then, He can not be a trinity. God must be one or the other, for a trinity and a family are in hopeless contradiction one to another.

What is a trinity? The definition in Webster's is: The unity of Father, Son and Holy Spirit as three persons in one Godhead according to Christian dogma." Please notice: its not according to the Bible!

The official Catholic definition under "Blessed Trinity" states: “Catholic doctrine teaches that there is one God in three divine and distinct persons - Father, Son and Holy Ghost. The three divine persons have an identical nature. This is a mystery of the faith revealed to us by God.
We cannot comprehend it fully with our finite minds, but we will in eternity."

There you have it, "three persons in one," incomprehensible, but believed by all - why, because the Catholic Church said so!

Where does that leave God's revealed word the Holy Bible?
Is there any such explanation, statement, or at least the word trinity in the Bible? No, of course not! But, the Bible plainly states in many ways that God is a family, the Family of God, in the process of giving birth to many additional children.

So, now lets see why God can not be both, a trinity, and a family, and why God has to be either one or the other.

A trinity by its very nature consists, as stated earlier, of three persons. It has to, for would it consist of any other number but 3, it would immediately cease to be a trinity!
In other words a trinity can not consist of l, 2, 4, l00 or any other number. It must always consists of three. That is its inherent nature, that is what makes it a trinity.

With this in mind, lets look at Christ's high priestly prayer for His Church in John l7 (and please read the complete chapter, for it is one of the greatest chapter in the whole Bible) where Jesus, speaking to His Father, said in verse 21:

"…that they - that is the saints – may all be one; as you, Father, are in me, and I in you;  that they also may be one in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”

Lets understand; Christ wants us to be ONE amongst ourselves, as He is ONE with His Father, so that we may all be ONE with Him and His Father. That's an incredible prayer!

Lets assume there are l98 baptized persons here that are unified, plus the person of God the Father, plus the person of God the Son, which equals 200 persons that are unified - that are ONE as Christ prayed for.

200 persons - what kind of a trinity is that? Obviously not possible.

The point is that under the doctrine of the trinity no one could become ONE with God, because a trinity by its very nature is closed, can not be penetrated, can not be added to, can not be subtracted from, it is closed and no one can become ONE with God under this false doctrine.

I want to be plain and very clear about it. The doctrine of the trinity is satanic and is keeping millions upon millions from becoming ONE with God. This doctrine of the trinity is not just a little different from what we believe – no, it is the exact opposite, it is diametrically opposed from what God really is - namely a Family.

Why is it so different? Well, as I have said, a trinity MUST by its very nature be three - no more and no less. A family, in contrast, MUST by its very nature consist of a minimum of two, without a maximum. A family MUST consist, as a minimum, of a husband and a wife, with the option, with the potential, of an unlimited number of children.

This is precisely a description of the Family of God with Jesus being the first (so) begotten, and the first (so) born Son of God. God the Father, obviously, having a desire to have many additional children who will be ONE with each other, and ONE with the Father, as Christ prayed for in his intercessory prayer in John l7.

Do you realize what this means? It means that if God is a Family - and He is - then you and I can become ONE with the Father and with Jesus Christ, as Jesus Christ is ONE with the Father.

In contrast, if God would be a trinity, then you could never become ONE with God, its impossible, you would always be on the outside looking in. What a tragedy - Satan's masterstroke! But, you see, God has taken this satanic doctrine and is using it to clearly and unmistakably set us apart from all so-called Christian religions.

God has taken Satan's most important deception, and He is using it for His purpose, identifying us by our conscious rejection of the trinity doctrine as one of His, as being ONE with Him, as Christ our High Priest asked God the Father to do.

There are obviously many other ways by which you can show that this doctrine of the trinity is not biblical. I would certainly recommend that you familiarize yourself with all of them, so that you are able to give an answer when someone asks you about the hope that is within you.

Remember, that through God, and with the help of His Holy Spirit, we can take every stumbling block Satan has ever thrown in our way, and turn them into building blocks.

God is in the business of building a family, the Family of God. Aren't you glad that you are a part of that ever growing, ever expanding Family of God.
