The Seven Noahide Laws
As Listed in The Talmud

ONE: Prohibition of Idolatry: - There is only one God. You shall not make for yourself an idol.

TWO: Prohibition of Murder: - You shall not murder.

THREE: Prohibition of Theft: - You shall not steal.

FOUR: Prohibition of Sexual Promiscuity: - You shall not commit adultery.

FIVE: Prohibition of Blasphemy: - Revere God and do not blaspheme.

SIX: Prohibition of Cruelty to Animals: - Do not eat the flesh of a living animal.

SEVEN: Requirement to have just Laws: - You shall set up an effective government to police the preceding six laws.

 

 

The Seven Laws of Noah have officially been recognized in the United States Congress:

"Whereas Congress recognizes the historical tradition of ethical values and principles which are the basis of civilized society and upon which our great Nation was founded; Whereas these ethical values and principles have been the bedrock of society from the dawn of civilization, when they were known as the Seven Noahide Laws."
